Opened to the public on the 9th  October 2007 and since has proved to a successful venture in its provision of Breakfast, Lunches , and snacks to both residents of the Area and people working for the different agencies voluntary and statutory that operate in  the area.

The cafe provides a safe social space for residents to meet and have a healthy meal, in addition it has evolved as an informal contact between residents and some of the agencies that work with them. The ethos of the cafe is to provide a healthy balanced diet to the community.

All of the produce sold is prepared on the premises with no purchase of pre-prepared food. The only produce which is bought in and sold is bottled water and fresh fruit. There are no sweets crisps etc for sale.

To ensure proper healthy preparation and cooking there is no deep fryer in the Kitchen.

The cost of food to our customers is kept to a minimum with a main course lunch at €4.95. and Homemade Soup with Homemade Brown Bread at a €1.95. A morning snack of tea and a  scone freshly baked on the premises can  be purchased for €1.50.

Traditional breakfast is available each day with all items grilled and eggs scrambled.

The cafe also provides meals for organizations using the centre for meetings etc .
