Volunteers play a vital role in providing creative projects for the young people participating in the project, Southill Club2gether continually recruit and provide training for volunteers who are interested in working with young people aged 10-25 years from the area.
Southill Club2gether is a Youth Project based in Southill Area Centre, the project works with young people aged 10-25 years of age from Southill and endeavours to provide a range of creative, sporting and personal development programs that help to meet their needs. The project aims to recruit volunteers on an annual basis to help to develop the programs to their full potential and to provide young people with contact with supportive adult from the area.
Anyone interested in volunteering first meets with the Project Co-ordinator to outline the reasons why they want to volunteer with the project and to establish the persons background and previous experience if any of working or volunteering with young people.
Following this the person can apply to volunteer by completing a volunteer application form and filling out a Garda Vetting Form also.
The volunteer will complete an induction program with the co-ordinator and other new volunteers, this will help to prepare the volunteer for the role and inform them of aims and objectives of the project and methods of working with young people.
All volunteers will also be provided with Child protection training and Leadership training.
